Sitting by the pool, penning my second blog since embarking on the trip of a lifetime, I find myself reflecting on the past yearâa perfect way to wrap up 2024.
Lets go!
As I sit here reflecting on 2024, I canât help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for a year that has been as rewarding as it has been transformative.
Blue Turtle Physiotherapy truly flourished this year, and I owe its success to my incredible clients and the unwavering support Iâve received from so many. Watching it grow has been a dream come true. đ˘
On the family front, 2024 has been nothing short of magical. We welcomed my baby niece in June, Teddie, whoâalong with little Mayaâhas created the perfect little family for my brother and his amazing partner, Hannah. Watching them adapt to parenthood with such grace fills me with pride, and my parents have embraced their new roles as grandparents like absolute pros!
We also celebrated the arrival of our first baby nephew in November, born to Tallyâs sister, joining Delilah, whoâs already proving to be the best big sister. Itâs heartwarming to see two families blending so beautifully over the last couple of years. How lucky are we?
Personally, itâs been a milestone year. Iâm so thankful for my knees (seriously!) for holding up and allowing me to run and play football pain-free again. Itâs been incredible to win the County Cup with Khalsa, secure the league title, and earn promotion to Tier 3. What a journeyâup the Khalsa! â˝ď¸
On the home front, we finally finished renovating our house, and itâs everything we dreamed of. With plenty of hard work, YouTube tutorials, and endless calls to our dads for help, we made it happen. We canât forget all the help we had to strip the six layers of wallpaper too! #BloodSweatAndTears was worth it! đ
Another highlight of 2024 was getting engaged during a beautiful summer in the North Pennines. It was a moment of pure bliss, made even more special with Coco by our side. How lucky am I to have such an unforgettable memory? đ
As the year unfolded, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life: selling my car, leaving an amazing job, and taking a sabbatical to embark on this incredible journey. I will be travelling through South East Asia and working in Western Australia as a physiotherapist, it is a dream come true, a chance to explore, grow, and keep my skills sharp. Watch this space! đ§ł
Of course, we will miss Coco terribly đŚŽ, but I know sheâs going to be loved and spoiled by family while weâre away (thank you!). I canât wait to reunite and shower her with affection when weâre back. đ§Ą
As I close this chapter, I feel immensely grateful for everything 2024 brought into my lifeâgrowth, love, adventure, and endless support. Hereâs to 2025 and all the adventures, challenges, and memories it will bring. đ
Rock onâ! đ¤
